Chindata group tops Greenpeace renewable energy ranking in Chinese tech industry
BEIJING, April 23, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Chindata Group (NASDAQ: CD), the only neutral digital infrastructure platform Asia Pacific region, once again ranked first (85 out of 100) in the latest clean energy ranking among From China technology industry with a perfect score (40 out of 40) on the performance of renewable energies.
Annual renewable energy consumption in data centers owned by the Chindata Group reached 505 million kilowatt-hours in 2020, or fifty-one percent of its total energy consumption. This amount represented 0.02% of From China electricity production capacity in 2020. At the same time, Chindata Group is promoting the construction of From China Internet technology industry’s first 150 MW photovoltaic power plant to meet its own energy needs.

Clean Cloud 2021 is the second annual clean energy ranking released by Greenpeace with the commitment to carbon neutrality as a new indicator in this year’s scorecard. The Chindata Group is the only major Chinese company to pledge to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 among the 22 companies, Greenpeace said.
